Reseña de DraftKings 2026

Overview and History

DraftKings launched in 2012 as a daily fantasy sports platform and has since grown into one of the most prominent sportsbook operators in North America. Headquartered in Boston, DraftKings went public in 2020 and has aggressively expanded into every legal sports betting market it can enter. The operator entered the Canadian market through Ontario's regulated iGaming system and is licensed by the AGCO. DraftKings brings a tech-forward approach to sports betting, with a platform built around data, customization, and engagement features that appeal to both casual fans and sharp bettors.

Betting Markets and Sports Coverage

DraftKings provides extensive coverage across all major sports. NHL betting includes standard moneylines, puck lines, and totals along with a deep selection of player props, including goals, assists, shots on goal, saves, and time on ice. NFL coverage is a particular strength, reflecting DraftKings' roots in the American fantasy sports market, with hundreds of prop markets per game. NBA, MLB, and CFL markets are all well-represented.

Player props are where DraftKings really shines. The DFS heritage translates directly into a prop betting experience that is among the best in the industry. You can find props on nearly every statistical category for major sports, making it an excellent platform for bettors who like to go beyond simple moneylines and spreads.

Live betting is strong, with a responsive interface and a good selection of in-play markets. The platform supports early cash-out and offers a same-game parlay builder for popular matchups. Soccer, tennis, golf, UFC, and esports are all covered, though the depth on international sports is slightly behind the leading European-origin operators.

Bonuses and Promotions

DraftKings offers competitive welcome promotions for new customers, typically including a deposit match or first-bet offer. The DK Crowns rewards program is a notable feature, allowing bettors to earn Crowns through wagering activity that can be redeemed for free bets and other rewards in the DraftKings marketplace. Ongoing promotions include daily odds boosts, stepped-up parlays with enhanced payouts, profit boost tokens, and sport-specific promotions during major events. The volume and variety of promotions is high, giving regular bettors consistent added value. Some bettors find the volume of promotional messaging excessive.

Mobile App Experience

The DraftKings app is feature-rich and well-designed, available on both iOS and Android. The interface uses a dark theme and organizes sports and markets clearly. The bet slip is responsive, and building same-game parlays or browsing props is straightforward. DraftKings also integrates its DFS and casino products into the same app ecosystem, which is convenient for users who engage with multiple products but can feel cluttered if you only want the sportsbook.

The app supports live betting, cash out, and push notifications for bet updates. Performance is generally smooth, though the sheer number of features means the app can occasionally feel more complex than simpler alternatives like FanDuel.

Banking and Payment Methods

Canadian bettors can deposit via Interac e-Transfer, which processes instantly and is the most popular method. Visa and Mastercard are accepted for deposits, along with PayPal and bank transfers in some cases. Withdrawals via Interac e-Transfer typically process within one to three business days. DraftKings does not charge transaction fees, and minimum deposit amounts are accessible for recreational bettors.

Customer Support

DraftKings provides 24/7 customer support via live chat and email. The live chat experience is generally positive, with agents able to handle common questions about bets and account issues. The help centre includes a robust collection of articles and FAQs. Support is primarily in English, with limited French-language resources.

Pros and Cons

DraftKings' strengths include an industry-leading prop betting experience, strong live betting, and deep NFL and NHL coverage. The platform's DFS integration is a plus for fantasy sports enthusiasts.

On the downside, the app can feel cluttered due to multi-product integration, odds are not always the sharpest on standard markets, and the user experience has a steeper learning curve than FanDuel. Some bettors also find the sheer volume of notifications to be excessive.

Who DraftKings Is Best For

DraftKings is best suited for Canadian bettors who love player props and enjoy DFS alongside traditional sports betting. If you are a data-driven bettor who appreciates deep prop markets and does not mind a feature-heavy interface, DraftKings delivers. It earns a rating of 4.4 out of 5.
