Responsible Gambling
Sports betting should be fun and entertaining. At Odds Scout, we are committed to promoting responsible gambling practices and providing resources for those who may need help.
Tips for Responsible Betting
- 1
Set a budget and stick to it
Only bet what you can afford to lose. Never use money meant for rent, bills, or other essentials.
- 2
Don't chase losses
Losing is part of betting. Never increase your bets to try to recover money you've lost.
- 3
Take breaks
Set time limits for your betting sessions. Regular breaks help you maintain perspective.
- 4
Never bet under the influence
Alcohol and other substances impair judgment. Make betting decisions with a clear mind.
- 5
Use self-exclusion tools
All licensed Canadian sportsbooks offer deposit limits, loss limits, and self-exclusion options. Use them proactively.

Age restrictions: You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to engage in sports betting. Most Canadian provinces and most US states require 21+; a few (Ontario 19+, Kentucky, Montana, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington DC, Wyoming) allow 18+.
Odds Scout does not accept bets or facilitate gambling. We provide information and comparison tools only. You must be physically located in a state or province where online sports betting is legal to wager with a licensed sportsbook.
